Blessing of the Animals
You can have your animals blessed at the Blessing of the Animals at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on Glidden St. in Newcastle, Maine! Monday afternoon, October 4th St. Andrew's will observe the Feast of St. Francis Assisi with a Blessing of the Animals on the back lawn of the church, rain or shine. Stuffed animals and photos of beloved pets will also be blessed. Cider, doughnuts, and animals treats will be served. The Pet Blessing will include taking a collection of items that are especially needed by the Lincoln County Animal Shelter at this time: Canned Paté Style Cat Food, Canned Dog Food, Bleach, High Efficiency Laundry Detergent (will have H.E. on label), and Litter.
